Jai Jinendra !
For quiet some days I have been receiving queries about who’s behind jainsquare.com. So I thought it would be better to give my introduction to all our members, followers and readers. That’s why I am writing this article.
I am Ashish Jain, a Delhi based businessman . I am a B.com (H) graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and after graduation I joined our ancestral business of fabrics and in late 90’s we started importing fabric .
For this purpose I often had to travel abroad . Once when I was in Seoul,Korea a, I saw this woman in the market. She was dressed in traditional Korean dress and had a mic attached to a table in front of her. This table had some banner in the front which was in Korean so I could not understand. While everyone in the market was busy shopping , she was speaking something in Korean without caring if someone was listening or not. I was kind of confused and curious to know what was she saying. Not being able to resist , I asked my friend (who lived in Seoul) what was she saying and he told me that she is narrating some extract of Bible and was there to promote Christianity. I was surprised to see a Korean woman promoting Christianity. I don’t know whether she herself was a Christian or not , whether she was doing it voluntarily or was she paid for it but it certainly forced me to ask myself, What am I doing for the promotion of my religion ? , and of course I didn’t have any answer. I made up my mind that day itself that I will certainly do something for the promotion of Jainism.
Years passed by and I became more and more busy in my work , but I never forgot my desire to do something to spread the teachings of our Tirthankars. In Feb 2011 , something very unfortunate happened with me (I would not like to mention what happened) and I got some time to look back on things I have been ignoring. I have always tried to turn bad time into an opportunity to concentrate on things I have been neglecting. And I didn’t miss this one also and on 13,March 2011 I started this blog.
Now it’s been more than 6 months that I have been updating this blog and I feel very glad & satisfied when readers send me messages that they found the site very informative and useful. It motivates me to spend more and more time on this blog and I hope that I make this site the most informative site on Jainism.

very appreciative……. of u siddharth to be jignyasu ( inquisitive). jainism says that tattva jignyasa ( curiosity about existence, truth, substance) is the primary important step towards true knowledge
